Morehouse School of Medicine/California Hospital Medical Center FMRP

The mission of the Morehouse School of Medicine/California Hospital Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Program is to provide comprehensive training to family physicians who care for our diverse, urban, medically underserved population and who will excel in academic and clinical careers while advancing social justice for all.

Curriculum highlights:
- Robust didactic curriculum including Lifestyle Medicine, Point-of-care Ultrasound (POCUS), sim lab, procedural workshops, addiction medicine series, OB grand rounds, psychosocial case conferences, board review prep
- Optional social justice book club
Clinic highlights:
- FQHC serving underserved community in DTLA
- Patient population: 75% Hispanic/Mexican or Central American, 98% living at or below 200% federal poverty level, 94% Medi-Cal (state Medicaid) or uninsured
