OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital Family Medicine Residency
The Riverside Family Medicine Residency is located at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. We offer the best of a thriving community practice experience within a busy tertiary medical center. Our family medicine center is a team-based practice offering robust patient and resident experiences at our on-campus freestanding clinic. Our inpatient experiences provide excellent training in adult acute care, obstetrics, pediatrics, and newborn care. Scholarship, research, Evidence Based Medicine and Quality Improvement are integrated into all three years of training. All our residents graduate with a solid foundation of Family Medicine knowledge and skills, but the curriculum’s flexibility allows each resident to develop individual interests tailored to their learning needs. We are one of only a handful of programs across the country that can offer an integrated 4th year of training in Family Medicine through our PGY2-PGY2 Leadership Area of Concentration as part of the ACGME FM-AIRE Initiative.
Our program is osteopathically recognized and supports training of both osteopathic and allopathic residents with Osteopathic Distinction.
Collaboration with the other residencies at Riverside is exceptional, and the work environment, both in the office and in the hospitals, is supportive and collegial. Our faculty are dedicated to excellence in patient care and education; their expertise includes advanced training in geriatrics, sports medicine, adolescent medicine, addiction medicine, faculty development and public health.
