The dedicated residents and faculty of Abington Family Medicine are proud of the differences we make in our community and our contributions to medical literature and education.
Our Family Medicine Center provides care to a wonderful patient population rich in diversity, age, and socioeconomic status. Residents learn evidence-based care and procedures in an environment that enthusiastically supports individual interests through international and regional electives, academic opportunities and a faculty, hospital and medical staff renowned for excellence in patient care and teaching. Specialty tracks exist for sports medicine, geriatrics and women’s health. Pediatricians who have privileges at Jefferson Abington Hospital and Nemours Children's Health supervise our inpatient pediatric rotations at Jefferson Abington Hospital.
Jefferson Abington Hospital is located four miles from the Philadelphia border and eleven miles from Center City. Jefferson Abington Hospital has numerous national awards for patient safety and quality of care. The hospital has a rich history of commitment to resident and student medical education and has residencies in family medicine, internal medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, and dentistry. Our Family Medicine Residency graduates have a 99% first time pass rate on the ABFM Boards and practice in a variety of settings throughout the country.
