Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center FMRP
Welcome! We are a newly accredited residency program in southwest Mississippi. We are excited to matriculate our first class of residents beginning July 2024. Our institution is located in McComb, MS. Our hospital and community are very excited about this opportunity. Our program mission is to expertly train rural Mississippi's future family medicine physician workforce in an atmosphere of support, respect and compassion. We will do so by modeling professionalism, inclusivity and compassion in all aspects of the training of our residents and the care of the patients we serve. We aim to educate and train culturally diverse residents to care for and meet the healthcare needs of all people in southwest Mississippi or other rural areas. Our residents will become leaders in addressing health disparities for the unique needs of rural populations through patient-centered strategies and personal well-being.
