Temple Northwest Community Family Medicine Residency Program has an impactful and long-standing presence in the greater Philadelphia community with a mission to serve local underserved communities. The Northwest Community Family Medicine Program is the largest of Temple's Family Medicine Residency Programs with 21 residents learning from diverse faculty with expertise in the full breadth of Family Medicine. Residents participate in community outreach, health screenings, clinics and programs that serve health-disparate, marginalized and at-risk populations. Northwest Community Family Medicine residents are active and hold positions in local, regional, and national organizations where they promote health advocacy, influence health policy and effect transformation in urban family medicine. Our program is known for both its footprint in academic medicine and community advocacy. As a department, our Family Medicine team provides global education to residents and medical students while providing compassionate, comprehensive, excellent patient care at all times wherever we are called to serve. We are here to inspire the next generation of family physicians to transform the future of medicine.
