Our program is the best of both worlds with urban training and university resources in Little Rock (PGY-1) and small-town, rural training in Crossett (PGY-2/3).
While residents receive full-scope training, our niche is focused on equipping physicians to practice rural medicine providing acute care, chronic disease management, and preventative services in an efficient ambulatory clinic environment. Our resident-centered approach yields primarily one-on-one training at the rural site. Our local critical access hospital provides an excellent unopposed training environment with technology and infrastructure far outpacing hospitals of its size.
