UPMC Shadyside Family Medicine Residency Program
UPMC Shadyside applies world-class information technology and evidence-based medicine in practice. Located in Western Pennsylvania, we have trained and graduated over 370 family medicine physicians since our accreditation in 1970. We have a long history of training Osteopathic residents and achieved the distinction of being Osteopathic Recognized by the ACGME in 2018. Three tracks are offered: Global Health, Underserved Care, and HIV Care. Program’s strengths include Office Practice/Quality Improvement, Teaching Patient-Centered Care, Patient Engagement/Population Health, Teaching Communication Skills, and Cost-Effective Patient Care.
