HealthPoint Family Medicine Residency
Our program is dedicated to educating family medicine physician leaders who promote, improve, and maintain the health and well-being of individuals across the lifespan through high-quality, integrated, and evidence-based care. We are committed to training family medicine physicians within a community health center setting, equipping them to partner effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds and to overcome barriers to healthcare access.
We are dedicated to developing full-scope primary care providers who are equipped to excel in a variety of healthcare settings, from community health centers (CHCs) to full-spectrum care environments. We provide equal emphasis on all areas of family medicine to ensure our graduates are well-prepared for the diverse challenges of primary care. Our curriculum is structured around three foundational pillars of family medicine: inpatient medicine (adult and pediatrics), obstetrics, and outpatient continuity clinic.
As a Teaching Health Center, we are proud to be a community-based and mission-driven residency program at HealthPoint community health clinics, which is dedicated to serving individuals who may otherwise lack access to healthcare. Our commitment to equity is woven into every aspect of our training environment. HealthPoint’s patient demographics reflect this mission:
• 96% of our patients live below 200% of the federal poverty line.
• 70% are from racial or ethnic minority backgrounds.
• 30% require interpreter services to access care.
