The Adventist Health Family Medicine Residency Program is an "unopposed" (stand-alone) program for 6 residents per year totaling 18 residents over three years. This program is focused on full-scope rural family medicine in which residents will become adept at managing complex patients with interesting pathology, oftentimes without the assistance of specialists. Residents will receive hands-on training with Procedure and Point-of-Care Ultrasound curriculums.
Also included is an emphasis on behavioral and population health and care for the underserved as residents will work closely with our Street Medicine team. Our goal is to train Family Medicine physicians who are well prepared to practice rurally and provide care to patients in any care setting.
