The mission of the program is to train physicians of diverse backgrounds to provide evidence-based, community oriented primary care and to advocate for social justice to improve the health and well-being of vulnerable populations. We have five Seattle training sites in our residency program and a rural training track.  The program has a long tradition of training family doctors to work with economically disadvantaged, culturally diverse and disenfranchised communities. We believe that empowered residents and outstanding faculty are the key to preparing graduates to practice in any setting: urban, rural or international, clinical or academic.
