Our goal is to prepare family physicians to thrive in rural medical practice, to develop and maintain exceptional work-life balance, and to improve the health of all members of our rural population. Offering both urban and rural living, the first post-graduate year is in Tyler Texas, and is followed by two years of training in rural Camp County. Our region offers affordable housing, amazing scenery, and outdoor activities that include boating, hiking, fishing, hunting, camping, and wine tasting. Our rural curriculum offers robust experience in emergency medicine and critical access hospital care while including community outreach to the local school district and homebound patients.
