The New Hampshire Dartmouth Family Medicine Residency (NHDFMR) was established in 1995 with a vision to be recognized leaders in Family Medicine education who model multi professional team-based care.  NHDFMR provides comprehensive care to patients in two community based settings, one with an emphasis on under-served and refugee populations, the other, a rural NH community.  We develop physicians and other health professionals to serve and lead in a variety of systems.  Concord Hospital has over 238 staffed beds, and Concord Hospital Medical Group has over 150,000 patient visits per year.  We have 5 Centers of Excellence including:  Cardiac, Urologic, Payson Cancer Center, Orthopedic Institute and Women’s health. In 2016, Concord Hospital received the prestigious International Award as a Baby-Friendly birth facility.  In June of 2018, our organization received the “Get with The Guidelines-Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award.”

Our Family Medicine Residency is located in the capital of New Hampshire, which is an hour from the mountains, the ocean and the city of Boston, MA. This provides multiple options for a variety of activities. At NHDFMR, we pride ourselves on our unique Systems training and an emphasis on teamwork.  In addition, we have a multidisciplinary faculty, including:  Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, OB/GYN, Psychology, Psychiatry and Behavioral Health.

For residents interested in pursuing a Preventive Medicine Residency with a focus on leadership training, we offer an additional two year residency, completed after Family Medicine training, which includes earning a Master’s of Public Health from The Dartmouth Institute, Dartmouth College, in Lebanon, NH.
