Central Michigan University College of Medicine
CMU is one of the first accredited programs in Michigan and one of the oldest in the country. Training is strengthened by collaboration with two principal hospitals in Saginaw, MI, which serve as the primary referral centers for complex medical care in the Great Lakes Bay Region. Our residents take an active role in the interview process and selection of the incoming residency class and experience a multicultural environment and diverse backgrounds. Highlights: night float system (no traditional call), 4 elective months. The quality of the residency experience has been enhanced by our global health experience. The residents visit Costa Rica where they interact with native Costa Ricans through equine therapy, postnatal care, and general medical care.
