Leadership through excellence in primary care training
Leadership through excellence in primary care training
In accordance with previous discussions among the Stanford Graduate Medical Education Committee members, and taking into consideration the recommendations issued by the AAFP, AFMRD, STFM, ADFM, and NAPCRG, Stanford as an institution continues to recommend that all programs hold virtual interviews for this upcoming application cycle. This recommendation aligns with our program goals to promote financial and demographic equity, reduce COVID-transmission risks, and minimize our overall carbon footprint.
We are proud to utilize a holistic review framework in our residency selection process. Our goal is to recruit a diverse cadre of trainees whose personal attributes and life experiences are well-aligned with our program’s mission while also addressing the challenges of health inequity. Due to the competitive nature of our program, priority will be given to applicants who have graduated medical school within the past cycle (2022 - 2023); however, our review process is multi-faceted, and we will evaluate applications in their entirety.
Important dates for this application cycle:
Wed. Sept 27th 12 midnight PST - ERAS submission deadline for Stanford FMRP
Mid-Nov 2023- Jan 2024 - Virtual interviews
Interviewees will be invited to Stanford GME Diversity Recruitment Receptions (held virtually) in October, November, December, and January
Our residency program is located in San Jose, CA - approximately 30 minutes south of Stanford Main Campus.
