Our nationally recognized programs offer community-based training in the rural counties of Cheraw and Clarendon while also providing the opportunity to train in the 517-bed regional referral medical center in Florence, SC. Well-rounded residents leave with training in advanced ICU, geriatrics, obstetric, and pediatric skills. Residents benefit from a strong emphasis on procedures — such as colonoscopy, EGD, and central line placement – with specialty clinics and classroom instruction. Our residents handle high-volume inpatient and outpatient settings while receiving hands-on experience in population health challenges. McLeod Health Cheraw has 57 acute-beds and Clarendon has 81with a brand new ICU expected to open soon.
