In 2018, three former program directors and other experienced faculty successfully combined their talents and launched a new Family Medicine residency program in Alabama’s fastest growing county, Baldwin County, on the beautiful Gulf Coast. They envisioned creating their “dream residency program” at a perfectly-sized community hospital. We’ve enjoyed more success that we ever could have imagined! Our primary goal remains the same today— developing exceptionally well-rounded family physicians while sustaining resident and faculty wellness and elevating the quality of evidence-based patient care for our community. Our ACGME resident and faculty surveys are exemplary, each of our residents and faculty publishes in peer-reviewed journals, and our first group of graduating residents achieved a 100% first-time ABFM board passage rate. While quite proud of our early accomplishments, we are also steadfastly dedicated to working with and listening to our residents to further elevate this program to the top echelons of Family Medicine GME.
