Mercy Health is proud to introduce our Family and Community Medicine Residency Program at Mercy Health Anderson Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. We began the first compliment of 8 residents in July 2021 as the inaugural class. We are a three-year, community-based residency program, where our residents will be respected as integral members of the medical staff.

Our program’s faculty have been exquisitely selected based on their years of academic achievements and excellence in Graduate Medical Education. With our combined knowledge, passion, attitude, and resilience, we are vested in making this an exemplar program, focusing on evidence-based medicine, value-based care, life-long learning, diversity and inclusion, and scholarly production.

We, as a program, are dedicated in properly preparing our residents to become highly sought after and respected physicians within the community that they choose to serve. We will strive in preparing our residents to become successful family medicine physicians who excel at practicing in a dynamically and rapidly changing health care environment. Our residents will integrate into educational teams and will be scheduled to minimize in-house, overnight call allowing personal wellness and resilience while maximizing educational experiences.

Our goal is to graduate exceptionally confident and capable physicians with outstanding clinical experience, medical knowledge, procedural skills, respect, integrity, and passion for our profession.  We are committed to providing you with the opportunities needed to achieve your highest expectations.

Wellness will be on the forefront our of efforts to train capable and compassionate physician leaders.  Our rotational opportunities and curriculum have been developed to provide needed experiences for learning but designed to allow work-life balance and leadership to approach the future with resilience and mindfulness.
