York Hospital Family Medicine Residency was one of the first 5 FM residencies in the country, established in 1968. Based at a 600-bed community hospital in South Central PA, we offer a diverse and borad education with exceptional strengths in outpatient, inpateint and pediatrics experiences. We are an 8-8-8 program with award-winning faculty and a culturally diverse population of urban, suburban and rural patients. Ultrasound training, a simulation lab, a global heath track and a sports medicine track and fellowship are just a few of the benefits and opportunities available to residents. Family medicine is well-respected and teamwork is strongly valued. Our FMC is a PCMH site and we educate residents to be leaders in an ever-changing healthcare environment.
