Phelps Family Medicine Residency Program
Accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education, the Phelps Family Medicine Program is an innovative, forward-thinking, three-year residency in family medicine—the first accredited family medicine residency program in New York state to be established since 1995.
We were founded on a unique partnership among an academic institution, a community hospital and a federally qualified community health center. Today, the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, Phelps Hospital and Open Door Family Medical Centers are the partners in making our program mission a reality. Guided by our mission, residents share a passion for delivering exceptional care to our diverse community.
