Come be a pioneer in a new, unopposed program in Sumter. We are located in the Midlands region and have as our primary mission educating and training family physicians for practice in rural, underserved South Carolina. Our continuity family medicine clinic is at Tandem Health, an FQHC with a diverse patient population and a wide variety of resources for community outreach. Prisma Health-Midlands Tuomey has 300 beds that serves as both a community medical center and a regional referral center. We are affiliated with the University of South Carolina School of Medicine-Columbia, which gives us access to resources of the large academic medical center. Our hospital is also a primary teaching site for the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine-Carolinas Campus.
