Geisinger Kistler FM Residency
The Kistler Family Medicine Residency in Wilkes-Barre, PA exemplifies Geisinger’s academic mission to train the best future physicians. Named in honor of highly-regarded family physician, David Kistler, MD, the program seeks to train community-based family physicians capable of taking care of both our local area, the state of PA and the rest of the country. Our residents practice in a dedicated FM residency clinic attached to the hospital in which they admit and run their own adult inpatient service unopposed. During the course of their residency, they establish their own panel of patients whom they follow into the hospital, nursing home and across the continuum of their care.
