University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences - Pine Bluff
Our program, based at Jefferson Regional Medical Center (JRMC), is the only residency in this 265-bed hospital. Family physicians supervise our Family Medical Center and our own inpatient service. Local specialists serve as consulting faculty and supervise specialty rotations.
We care for patients from southeast Arkansas, a medically underserved region. Some patients are from smaller hospitals and nursing homes nearby, including very ill elderly and patients with no regular medical care. Residents rotate through a variety of practice settings and learn to perform numerous outpatient procedures and wound care.
