University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences - Magnolia
Currently the only accredited rural training program in Arkansas, our program offers a unique experience. Considered a “1-2 program,” this is an unopposed program with three PGY1 residents based in Texarkana and six PGY2/3 residents on-site in Magnolia. Our community partner hospital is a 49-bed acute care facility, is the only hospital within a 45 mile radius of our program. We believe our small size lends itself to more one-on-one interaction with faculty and hands-on learning experiences.
