Southern Regional AHEC FMR
The Southern Regional AHEC Family Medicine Residency, a community-based program with emphasis on care of the underserved & personalized education is ACGME accredited with Osteopathic Recognition & Duke University affiliation. We are a diverse, multicultural program, focusing on a team-based, multidisciplinary approach to patient care & education. We practice full-scope care for all ages in multiple settings, including continuity maternity care & our own inpatient service across the street at Cape Fear Valley Hospital. Our FMC houses 40 exam rooms, 2 procedure rooms, 2 OMT rooms, a radiology suite & laboratory. These resources result in a well-rounded education for our residents encompassing a broad range of pathologies.
