The Tidelands Health-MUSC Family Medicine Residency Program is a unique combination of excellence in family medicine learning in a destination location. In addition to broad spectrum training associated with family medicine, we have curriculum components that focus on training in leadership and building skills for lifelong wellness and resilience. The residency program we have created encompasses the best of both worlds—a high-quality community health system setting with the educational resources of a top academic medical center.
We are an 8-8-8 community-based program with a university affiliation; most training is completed at an unopposed community hospital with inpatient pediatric training at the Medical University of South Carolina to provide a broad training experience
