We are a Family Medicine training program based in scenic Asheville, North Carolina. Our transformative residency program under the Mountain Area Health Education Center is set in the Blue Ridge Mountains and primarily serves the rural, often underserved, populations of the Western NC region. Our Mission is to train superior family physicians and healthcare teams to be agents of change for community focused practice in Western North Carolina, and to serve as a catalyst for improving the quality and access to primary care in our region.
