The Family and Community Medicine Residency (Reading, Pa.) at Penn State Health St. Joseph trains highly qualified family physicians who can confidently provide comprehensive, compassionate and coordinated primary care.

Residents work in a community hospital for their inpatient rotations. As participants in an unopposed residency, residents in the program have the opportunity to really hone their inpatient skills in both pediatrics and adult medicine.

Residents work with a diverse patient population that is highly underserved. Program faculty are passionate about the community and work closely with community partners to improve the health of the people of Reading.

The program accepts both USMLE and COMLEX scores for applicants.
