Southern Colorado Family Medicine Alamosa Rural Training Program
The Alamosa Rural Training Track offers a unique opportunity for residents to live and train in a multicultural community that has a university and college located in the town. As an FQHC, we integrate behavioral health, dental, pharmacy, Coumadin, PT and medication assisted treatment in our clinics. We utilize a longitudinal curriculum to keep you working with specialists for 2 years. We offer a housing stipend of $12,000 per year for all 3 years of residency. As a small community in the mountains, there are many opportunities for outdoor recreational activities. Alamosa has a community garden and hosts multiple festivals each year.
